The album has since been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
On March 23, 2015, J. Cole relased the music video for “G.O.M.D.” In the period piece North Carolina hiphop star plays a house slave with a mandarin collar who sparks a revolution on a white-owned plantation.
